BURLINGTON - Charlie Henry Moffitt, 82 years and 9 months, of 5307 Mount Herman Rock Creek Road, went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2013, after a brief illness at Danville Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 23, 1930, in Alamance County, and was the son of the late Robert Lee Moffitt and Bessie Farmer Moffitt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Brown Moffitt. Charlie took pride in his yard and loved tinkering on lawn mowers and cars. He enjoyed fishing at private ponds with his sisters.

He is survived by two sisters, Lillian Moffitt Thomas, of Elon, and Catherine Moffitt Murray, of Burlington; and one brother, Colon Lee Moffitt, of Burlington. He will be missed by his three nieces and two nephews, three great-nieces and one great-nephew, and five great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece.
The family will receive friends at 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. on Monday, May 6, at Rich & Thompson in Burlington with a brief service to follow at
3 p.m. at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington.
