MEBANE, N.C. - Christopher "Chris" Alan Tapp, 34, was called home to be with his Lord on March 27, 2013.
Chris loved to hunt and fish and was a diehard UNC fan. He was always known to make people laugh and he was voted most popular in high school because he was a class clown. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include Heather Tapp; son, Tanner Tapp; daughter, Lily Tapp; mother, Paula Price; stepfather, Bill Price; father, Andy Tapp; brother, Ben Price (Heather); sister, Jordan Price; grandmother, Jeannine Metcalf; niece, Hannah Price; nephew, Beniah Price; his longtime companion, Beasley; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer Tapp and Christine Tapp; and grandfather, Colin Metcalf.
A celebration of his life will be held at Long's Chapel Christian Church, 2634 Hwy. 49, Burlington, N.C. 27217, on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall and at other times at the home of his mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Williams Funeral & Cremation Services to start a college trust for his children.
