GRAHAM - Mrs. Crystal Councilman Williams, 44, of 7022 Bethel-South Fork Road, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at ARMC after fighting Wegeners Disease for over 25 years.

Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of Steve Douglas Councilman and Carolyn Terrell Councilman.
Crystal was a member of Hopedale Church. She earned an Associate's Degree in Commercial Art at Alamance Community College and an Associate's Degree in Nursing at Alamance Community College. She worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Alamance Regional Medical Center for over 18 years. She was studying online for a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Administration, planning to graduate in December.
Crystal is survived by her brother, Jeff Councilman (Tricia) and their children, Lexie, Lilly, Landon and Ladd; sister, Tanya Councilman Brooks (Brett) and their children, Davis and Abby; Paw Paw Wade of Burlington and Kenneth Williams of Graham.
Family was very important to Crystal. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She adored her three nieces and three nephews. She was a passionate person and enjoyed art, music, crafting, baking and the beach.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at McClure Funeral Service in Graham from 6 to 8 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Hopedale Church in Burlington by the Rev. Bob Cauthren. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
