GRAHAM - Mr. Cyrus A. O'Baugh, 80, of 310 West Market St., Graham died at his residence on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 3:03 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Hattie Garrett O'Baugh, who survives and the son of Cyrus Alexander O'Baugh Sr. and Pauline Scott O'Baugh Cox, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and retired from Western Electric. Cyrus was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a son, Phillip Chris O'Baugh and wife Elaine of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Karen O. Drake and husband Richard of Graham; four grandchildren, Jonathan Allen O'Baugh and wife Angel, Joshua Keith O'Baugh, Michael O'Baugh and Adam O'Baugh; great-grandchildren, Jesse O'Baugh, Alexa O'Baugh and Blake O'Baugh; sisters, Gwendolyn Ray, Joyce Thompson and husband Gerald and Jean Joyce and husband J.B; and his loving dog, Hannah.
He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Keith O'Baugh; a brother, Earl O'Baugh, maternal grandparents, the Scott family and paternal grandparents, the O'Baugh family.
The funeral service will be conducted at New Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Randy Hobbs and the Rev. Jonathan Graves. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service to lie in state.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
