GRAHAM - Danny M. Brown Sr., 64, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at his residence Saturday, June 23, 2012, after ten years of failing health. He was born October 26, 1947, in Guilford County to the late Stacy and Zelma Davis Brown.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Marie Hicks Brown and a son Neal Brown of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally Tilley. He leaves behind his furry companions, Callie, Sissy and Harry.
He was a member of the Lamb's Chapel Church in Haw River. Danny was 1966 graduate of Walter M. Williams High School. He retired as plant manager for Guilford Mills after fifteen years of service. He was the past president of the Burlington Shag Club and original lead guitarist for the band Salt Pepper & the Seven Spices. In the past he enjoyed golf and in his later years he enjoyed walking with his buddies at Holly Hill Mall.
The service to celebrate his life will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service and at other times at the home.
