PROSPECT HILL - Mr. Delford "Pop" Edrington, 75, of 685 Springfield Trail, Prospect Hill, passed at 4:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at his home with his wife, son Steve and close friends Debbie and Jimmy Griffin by his side after six months of failing health and one month of critical illness.

Born in Arkansas, he was the son of the late Silas Anthony Edrington and Beadie Merritt Edrington. He was of the Baptist faith, retired from Eastern Airlines with 34 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Charlotte Valley, member of the Oasis Shrine Temple, Charlotte, NC. He was an avid Duke basketball fan, master gunsmith and operated Mebane Music and Pawn on 4th Street in Mebane, NC for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife Billie Fields Edrington of the home, son Stephen Lynn Edrington of the home, granddaughter Amber Edrington of Prospect Hill, great-grandchildren Ethan and Deacon McCrory of Mebane, sisters Mary Warhurst, Proctor Ark., and Alice Ramer, Harrisburg, Ark., Gloria Reed, Frisco Tx., brother Ray Edrington of Springdale, Ark. Delford was also preceded by three sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home, 1308 S. Third St., Mebane, NC, Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. and other times at the residence. There will be no services held.
