MEBANE, N.C. - Mr. Donald Wade Williams, 70, of 2049 Royce Drive, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Swepsonville, Mr. Williams retired as a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Army, was former owner and operator of the Americana Motel in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Byrd Williams, of the home; son, Douglas Wade Williams and Annette McCurdy of Greensboro, N.C.; daughter, Carrie W. Warren and husband Ronald of Elizabethtown, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Gilbert Williams and wife Sandi of Virginia Beach, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rexell and Bernie Tudor Williams; and sister, Connie Hughes.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hawfields Presbyterian Church cemetery by the Rev. Bob Stephenson.
The family will receive friends at the residence following the service.
