BURLINGTON - Donna Jean Laws Scott, 65, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Greenville, S.C. to the late Burl Allen Laws and the late Evelyn Louise Heavener Laws and was the wife of 43 years to Ronald "Ronnie" Scott, who survives.
Donna attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors, other than her husband Ronnie of the home, include her daughters and son-in-law, Tonya Scott Hamlett of Burlington and Sandi and Chris Thompson of Graham; grandchildren, Nicholas Thompson, Scottie Thompson, Grant Thompson and London Hamlett; sisters, Dee Buxton of Greensboro and Doris Gardner of Summerfield; brothers, Jerry Heavener of Gastonia, N.C., Arnold Laws of Stoney Creek, Robert Keith Laws of Graham and Kenneth Paul Laws of Burlington.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randy Hobbs, with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home.
