He was a native of Person County and the son of the late Herman Hessie Gregory and Dorothy Rudd Gregory.
Wayne was employed with Gregory Pallet Company for many years before retiring from Chandler Concrete. He served during the Vietnam War with the 1st Calvary Division of the U.S. Army from 1966-67. Wayne died in Virginia on his final trip to the Vietnam Wall to show his passion for our fallen American heroes and his comrades in arms. A special thank you to Timmy Wrenn for his friendship and regular visits which brought such pleasure to Wayne over the past several years.
