Earl "Ray" Suitt, 71, of Burlington, went to join the master carpenter in Heaven on June 15, 2013. A native of Grayson County, Va., he was the son of the late William Carl Suitt and the late Nannie Elvina Suitt.

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was the owner of Ray Suitt Builders.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda VanHoy Suitt; Daughters: Robin Suitt Cecil (Michael), Angela Harris (Gregg), Michelle Tucker and Christine Moore; five Grandchildren; one great grandchild; Brothers: J.C. Suitt and Dale Suitt; Sisters: Louise Warden, Lissie Mae Wood, Irene Billings and Patty Euliss.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Rene Suitt; Brothers: Robert and Everette Suitt and one grandchild.
A celebration of his life and home going will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Williams Funeral & Cremation Services chapel at
3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at the home.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell and the VA Hospital in Durham for their tender love and care for Ray during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask the donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell or to the VA Hospital in Durham
