BURLINGTON - Mrs. Elise Robbins Boswell, 91, a resident of the Village of Brookwood, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

Born December 27, 1920, Mrs. Boswell was the wife of 64 years to the late George Preston Boswell and the daughter of Guthrie Edwin Robbins and Bertha Michael Robbins, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Edwin Robbins of Westminster, Md.
Mrs. Boswell is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Preston and Susan Young Boswell of Raleigh and C. Edwin and Dianne M. Boswell of Pilot Mountain; her grandchildren, James Edwin Boswell of Reston, Virginia, Richard George Boswell and his wife, Megan Lamb Boswell of Charlotte, Amy Lea Boswell of Greer, South Carolina and Dr. Anna Taylor Boswell of Asheville; and her sister, Frances R. Sawers of Worchester, Mass.
Mrs. Boswell was a 1937 graduate of Burlington High School and a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Front Street United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Alamance Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Marshall Old.
