CHARLOTTE - Elizabeth Haskins Kilpatrick, 93, formerly of West Davis Street, Burlington, died on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Emeritus of South Park in Charlotte after several years of failing health.

A native of Durham County, she was the wife of the late Garvin Malcolm Kilpatrick and the daughter of James Henry Haskins and Nancy Elizabeth Haskins, both deceased. She was retired from Garvin's Clothing Store, which she and her husband ran for 48 years, and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Burlington.
Survivors include one son, G. Malcolm Kilpatrick Jr., of Atlanta; one daughter, Ann Kilpatrick Getz and husband Ralph of Matthews; one brother, Jack Haskins, of Fredericksburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Kimberly Kilpatrick Nagy, of Atlanta, and Shaun Kilpatrick, of Canton, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren, Win Kilpatrick, Kiley Kilpatrick and Patrick Nagy. She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. before the service at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Burlington.
