MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Mr. Elvan David Douglas, 35, of 101 Spring Creek Drive, Unit E, died at Grand Strand Hospital Dec. 17, 2013.

He was the son of Dr. LaDell Douglas (Elaine) of Hope, Ark. and Mrs. Constance Brown Douglas of Durham, N.C.
He enjoyed laying tile, playing golf, tennis and especially going to the movies. He also loved to work out at the gym and to read and he had many books. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family, especially his children.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Theresa Parker Gantt, and the two children born to their union, Alyssa Divine Douglas and Alexandra Delaney Douglas; special friend, Jessica Hinson, with whom he shared a child, Alivia Bree Douglas; adopted son, Christian Hinson; a twin brother, Dr. Ethan Devon Douglas (Sydney) of Durham, N.C.; a sister, Dr. Yolanda Douglas Williams (Jon) of Durham, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 8609 NC 119, Mebane, NC 27302. Dr. Webb will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will take place from noon until 1p.m. prior to the service.
