GRAHAM - Mrs. Erma Lee McAdoo Marsh, 85, of 702 Baldwin Road, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. Richard McAdoo and the late Mrs. Mary Albright McAdoo and the wife of the late Mr. Henry Clay Marsh. She was a domestic worker and worked in Copeland Fabrics in Graham, now known as Culp Finishing. She was a member of Wayman Chapel AME Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Choir, Kitchen Committee, Missionary Society, Stewardess and was former President of the Pastor's Aide.
Mrs. Marsh is survived by special longtime friends, Dr. and Mrs. Charles and Cindy Sydnor, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by all her siblings.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Wayman Chapel AME Church, 592 North Main St., Graham. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Cemetery. The body will lie in state Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service, with the family arriving for visitation at 1:30 p.m. A public viewing will be held Sunday, Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Roy Blackwell Chapel of Blackwell Funeral Home. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the home.
