Ernest Harrison "Harry" Overman Jr.

BURLINGTON - Mr. Ernest Harrison "Harry" Overman Jr., 67, of 616 Delaware Avenue, Burlington died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 6:42 a.m. following four days of critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mary Mann Overman, who survives and the son of Ernest H. Overman Sr. and Myrtle Allen Overman, both deceased. He was a retired drywall finisher.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Penny Rodriguez and husband Manuel of Burlington, Mrs. Pamela Jean Maness and husband Wayne of Graham and Ms. Heather Jennings of Burlington; two sons, Mr. Darrell Wayne Overman of Burlington and Mr. Dennis "Bo" Overman and wife Tracey of Burlington; four brothers, Mr. Billy Overman of Graham, Mr. Ralph Overman and wife Elaine of Burlington, Mr. Jimmy Overman and wife Blanche of Burlington and Mr. Donnie Overman and wife Linda of Greensboro; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Hall and husband Jim of Graham and Mrs. Betty Warren and husband Clyde "June" of Burlington; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Perry, Carrie Guinn and Margaret Riley; and five brothers, Vernell, John, Ervin, Bobby and George Overman.
A graveside service will be conducted at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Odell McBride and the Rev. Jim Hall.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
