MEBANE - Fay Mathews Craft went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 26, 2012.
Born on September 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Ethel Mathews. Fay's three greatest loves in life were her children, salt water fishing and traveling with her husband.
Survivors include her children, Sandy Alford (Lewis) of Wilmington, Lin Moore (Donald) of Haw River, John C. Craft Jr. (Deannie) of Salem, Va., Kay Taul (Dennis) of Apex and Tricia Fox of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Jenna York (Shawn), Adam Fox (Kris), John Hawkins (Heather), Joshua Moore, Keenan Taul and Kelsey Taul; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, J.C. Mathews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Craft Sr.; and her sister, Mildred Goolsby.
The family would like to send out a special thanks to her wonderful neighbors and friends at Hawfields Crossing for all of their love and support.
Funeral services will be conducted at Hawfields Presbyterian Church on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Ealy officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at Fay's home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
