Gerald Francis Welch (Jerry), 77 of Thomasville, N.C. passed away on April 17, 2013. Jerry was born in Lawrence, Mass. and spent much of his life in New England (Mass. And N.H.) before settling in North Carolina. Jerry worked for Western Electric in Mass. and N.C. before working for several technology companies in both states. Jerry also spent time as a Selectman and Special Officer on the police force for the Town of Londonderry, N.H. from the mid 70s–80s.

While living in N.H. and N.C., one of Jerry's favorite pastimes was to maintain a beautifully manicured lawn. Jerry also loved frequenting the coastline of N.H. and N.C to enjoy fresh seafood.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Linda; nine children, Gerald Joseph (N.H.), Karen (Texas), Michael (N.H.), Kathleen (Mass.), Brian (Mass.), Colleen (N.H.), Shawn (Burlington, N.C.), Kevin (Burlington, N.C.), and Tracey (Cary, N.C.); two stepchildren Michelle (High Point, N.C.), Jamie (High Point, N.C.); 16 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, John (Mass).
Cremation services are entrusted to Triad Cremation Society and Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Society and a local Hospice of your choice.
