BURLINGTON - Ms. Glenda Faye Brown, 51, of 130 N. Ireland St., died April 10, 2013 at Hospice of Alamance-Caswell.

She was the daughter of Mr. Robert Lewis Brown and Mrs. Bernice Fuller Brown, both deceased. She was employed as a boarder in the textile industry. She loved children, loved to braid hair and loved to travel.
Survivors include four brothers, Larry L. Brown, Charlie W. Brown, Timothy O. Brown, all of Burlington and Ronald L. Brown of Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters, Joann Bigelow, Wanda L. Tate (Clarence) and Carolyn King (Willie Frank), all of Burlington; three aunts, Chinita Thompson, Ezola Terrell and Jerline Fuller, all of Burlington; a sister-in-law, Bonita Wright and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by Louise Brown Slade and Nathaniel Brown.
Public viewing will be Friday, April 12, 2013 from 1 to 8 p.m. in the Roy Blackwell Chapel of Blackwell Funeral Home in Burlington. At other times the family will receive friends at 1717-A Preston Street, Burlington, at the home of Joann Bigelow, sister.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the Roy Blackwell Chapel with the Rev. Harold Carr of Back to the Cross Outreach Ministry delivering the eulogy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with the family arriving at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Blackwell Funeral Home, Burlington.
