BURLINGTON - Mr. Harold Lee McDonald, 90, of Burlington died at the Hospice Home on Monday, July 14, 2014.

A native of Randolph County, he was the husband of Odessa Craven McDonald, who survives and the son of Gurney Lee McDonald and Bessie Allred McDonald, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy McDonald.
Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps serving in England during World War II. He retired from Lucent Technologies with 34 years of service. He enjoyed flying and was a member of the Western Flying Club. Harold attended Grace Bible Fellowship for a number of years and was a member of Holly Hill Baptist Church in recent years.
The funeral service will be conducted at Holly Hill Baptist Church on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Kenny Black and Mr. Ken Harman with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
