BURLINGTON - Hazel Parker Fox, 79, of 2707 Birch Lane, passed away at her residence on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 9:20 p.m. after several years of declining health.
A native of Duplin County, she was the wife of 58 years to Richard "Bud" Fox and the daughter of the late Herbert Parker and the late Gertie Brown Parker. She was a retired employee of Western Electric, a former Pink Lady Volunteer at Alamance Regional Medical Center until her health no longer allowed, and a member of First Baptist Church of Alamance.
In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by one daughter, Michelle Fox Nance, and her husband Randy, of Liberty; one son, Michael Fox, and his wife Christy, of Graham; four grandchildren, Ashley, Jacqueline, Olivia and Mason; one sister, Ethel Taylor and her husband Gary, of Charlotte; and two brothers, Milton Parker, of Rocky Point, and Marion Parker and his wife Lois, of Wilmington.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joe Hicks. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at other times.
