GRAHAM - Mr. Hubert F. Durham, 82, of Graham, passed away at the Hospice Home on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 6:35 a.m. following a brief illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Edna P. Durham, who survives, and the son of Charlie Durham and Annie Perry Durham, both deceased.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired fixer for Burlington Industries. Hubert was a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church where he was very active. He loved gospel music, working in the garden, being outdoors and hunting.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Davis and husband Michael of Burlington and Tracey Woods and husband Blain of Raleigh; his four grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Kayla Davis, Marley Davis, John Woods and Jim Woods; two brothers, Delbert Durham and wife Imogene of Burlington and Drexel Durham and wife Jan of Rocky Mount; four sisters, Audrey Foushee of Graham, Faye Moffett and husband Jack of Burlington, Gayrene Pitts and husband Joe of Burlington and Linda Durham of Roanoke, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Durham of Liberty. He was also loved by his extended Phillips family.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Andrew; and two brothers, Gordon Durham and Buck Durham.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Don Pegg. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
