James Arthur Frye, age 65, of Alamance County, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.

Mr. Frye was born Jan. 22, 1947, to Bruce Frye and Bonnie Brown Frye. He was a lifetime resident of North Carolina and attended Western Carolina University. He retired from a long career with Ciba Specialty Chemicals. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his daughters, Erin Frye, of Burlington and Nicole Frye Wilson, of High Point; his son, Jeffrey Frye, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Lily and Beck Wilson, of High Point; his fiancé, Sandy Williford, of Snow Camp; his niece, Wendy Murrell Allen; and his nephew, Mark Murrell.
Mr. Frye was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel fan and he enjoyed spending time with his family and his circle of friends. Mr. Frye also loved the game of golf.
At his request there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The ALS Association, Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter, 4 N. Blount St., 2nd Floor, Raleigh, NC 27601. Mr. Frye was diagnosed with ALS only a few short months ago. The disease rapidly progressed and he lost the battle too soon. Words cannot express how much he is missed and the sorrow that is felt by his family and friends. James "C.L. Crazy Legs" Frye left a lifetime of treasured memories in all our hearts forever.
