YANCEYVILLE - James David Bare Sr., 66, of 114 Greenfield Trail, died Saturday, March 16, at his residence.
Mr. Bare was born in Newport News, Va. He was a devoted and loving husband and an amazing father. He loved his grandchildren, always putting a smile on his face. He was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt and fish. Mr. Bare served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, and served in all branches as a member of LRRPS.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Coats Bare of the home; daughters, Kimberly Bare Fogleman, of Yanceyville, and Melissa Ely of Nebraska; sons, Ralph Chapin (Misty) of Mebane and James D. Bare Jr. of Yanceyville; six grandchildren; sisters, Angela Wright, Diane Foust and Vickie Bare; and a brother, Tim Bare.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lee Bare and Cornellia Anderson Bare, and a brother, Ernest Lee Bare Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Linwood Cemetery in Graham. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 1 PM until 2 PM prior to the graveside service.
