GRAHAM, N.C. - James Robert Hayes, 63, of 1726 Hidden River Trail, Graham, died June 21, 2012 at his residence.

Born in Chatham County, N.C., he was a sheet metal mechanic and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Annie R. Hayes, of the home; daughters, Patricia Bowman of the home, Wanda Graham (Lee) of Haw River, Teresa Bass (Richard) of Liberty and Brenda Raper of Sanford; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Guinn of Durham and Beverly Owens of Ramseur; brothers, Cecil Hayes of Franklinville and David Hayes of Ramseur.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Bowman; parents, James Clifford Hayes and Dena Belle Brown Hayes; and brothers, Fletcher "Tommy" Hayes and Larry Hayes.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Sunday evening. At other times they will be at the home of Wanda Graham, 1109 Trollingwood Road, Haw River, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Ernest Beck at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
