BURLINGTON - Joeann Ward Johnson, 60, of 2521 Saintsbury Drive, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Hospice Home of Alamance.

A native of Lauderdale County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Emmette Ward and Bashie Taylor Ward, both deceased, and the wife of the Rev. Lacy Johnson, deceased.
She was a member of New Covenant Holy Church in Burlington.
Survivors include one daughter, Roslyn Smith (Adonis) of Burlington; two sons, Christopher Veasey of Burlington and Darnell Kirkpatrick of Greensboro; two sisters, Shirley Ward Baker of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Connie Ward Fisher of Halls, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Johnson on Monday, March 4 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Alamance Funeral Service and all other times at the home. Her funeral service and burial will be held in Dyersburg, Tenn..
Public viewing will be held on Monday from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
