CASWELL COUNTY - Mr. John Lloyd Reimer, 69, of 12068 NC 62 South, passed away on Friday morning, July 20, 2012 at the Hospice Home of Alamance.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Bethel Christian Church in the Anderson Community of Caswell County.
Mr. Reimer was born in Johnstown, Colorado on July 3, 1943, a son of Isaac and Opal Nikkel Reimer, both deceased. He was the assistant principal of North Elementary and Oakwood Elementary Schools and Barlett-Yancey High School. He had served as the President of the N.C. Drop-Out Prevention Association. He was a pottery instructor at Piedmont Community College in Roxboro. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church.
He was a very loving and giving person, a helper to all. He spent much of his time assisting students with college placement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Hurdle Reimer, of the home; son, Brad Reimer; daughter-in-law, Roxanne; and grandsons, David and Christopher Reimer, of Overland Park, Kansas; stepson, Jerry Tyler Walker of Caswell County; and brother, Larry Reimer of Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, immediately prior to the service at Bethel Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice Home of Alamance, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
