A time to weep: Those weeping her passing are her daughter, Tina Strickland Miles (Derrick); her parents, Fletcher H. Strickland (deceased) and Georgia Strickland; brothers, Hayworth Strickland (Carolyn), Randy Strickland (Kay), Dwight Foust, Paul Foust (Roberta), Eddie Foust, Ronnie Foust and Tony Foust; sisters, Denise Foust, Patricia McFadden (Clarence); sister/best friend, Dorothy Pratt; aunts/uncles, (thank you for your love and wisdom); special friends (I thank you for all you did); nieces/nephews (I will miss you dearly); and a host of relatives and friends (that will be forever cherished).
A time to mourn; she was preceded in death aby her father, Fletcher H. Strickland;, her sister, Donna Strickland; and son, Ricky Strickland.
A time to dance: We dance, as we rejoice in the fact that she had a life in Christ, and we rejoice with her home going to her new mansion.
We will celebrate the home going service 1 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the New Covenant United Holy Church, 1258 Apple Street, Burlington, N.C. The family will receive visitors 30 minutes prior to the service and at other times at the home of Dorothy Pratt, 310 Moser Street, Graham, N.C.
Public viewing will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013, from noon to 8 p.m. at Blackwell Funeral Home-Burlington.
