BURLINGTON - Mr. Joshua Lynn Denton Sr., 25, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 28, 1987. He was the son of Ellen and Scott Hill, of Liberty, and Eddie Denton III, of Tarboro. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tarboro.

He loved spending time outdoors on the hill with his uncle Rick around the fire pit, and being with his loving family, especially spending time with his "Tubs," Scott Hill, in their "Hangout The Building." He was also known as "Tuby." Tubs and Tuby were Josh and Scott's nicknames for each other which they loved. He was a loving daddy, husband, son and big brother. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Denton "Kimmie Poo," sons Joshua Lynn Jr., Jonathan Michael and Nathan Scott; a sister, Jeanna Faye Denton, of Liberty; grandparents, "Granny" Faye Carmichael, of Burlington, Marvin Ezzell, of Hickory and Jean Denton, of Tarboro; step-grandparents, Howard and Nina Hill, of Snow Camp; great-step-grandmother, Delona Hill, of Burlington; and a host of special aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Jeffrey Wright, of Mebane. Josh also leaves two loving "sisters," Lulu and Gidget Marie, and a best friend, Brian Sabbot. He went home to Heaven to be with Jesus, "Bubba" (his granddaddy), uncle Gene Ezzell, his uncles Steven and Matt Hill, and Miss Kitty.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Joe Hicks presiding. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the home of Faye Carmichael, 2223 N.C. 62 North, Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for funeral expenses.
