Mrs. Juanita St. John Allred
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Juanita St. John Allred, 82, of 2950 Crouse Lane, Apt. 206, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at her residence after a brief illness.
A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late George Washington St. John and Sylvania Parker St. John. She was retired from Westpoint Stevens. Mrs. Allred was a member of Swepsonville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a former choir member. She was very active as a Red Cross Volunteer, as well as community sports.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Allred Loy and husband Mike, of Burlington; four sons, Lee Allred, of the home, Joel Allred and wife Trisha White, of Hillsborough, Wayne Allred and wife Cynthia, of Burlington, and Bryon Allred and wife Patti, of Mebane; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Loy, Jacquelyn Loy, Kaye Smithey, Renee Allred, Daniel Allred, Stephanie Harris, Steven Allred, Tyler Allred, Kyle Allred and Brent Allred; two step-grandchildren, Kendra Dout and Jennifer Congdon; 20 great- and great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Reba Baker, of Snow Camp, Mazie Suggs, of Raleigh, and Burchie Farrell, of Burlington. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Allred Cashion.
A cryptside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., at Glen Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Redding and Steve Loy officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rich & Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington and other times at the residence of her daughter, Sandra Loy, 3872 Dr. Pickett Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
