BURLINGTON - Mr. Kenneth Hatfield, 61, of 414 Cameron St., died Feb. 26, 2014, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, Ga.

He was the husband of Glenda Faye Wiley of the home who survives, and the son of Mr. Lewis Hatfield and Mrs. Vennie Blackwell Hatfield, both deceased.
He loved to help people. He loved racing and enjoyed working on cars. He was a member of Cornerstone Ministries where he served as a deacon on the deacon board. He loved to travel and he cherished the time spent with his friends and family.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Lamont Hatfield and a foster son, Markies Folks, both of Burlington; daughters, Kelita Russell (Kenneth) and Tomeka Stephens (Keith), both of Graham; three granddaughters and three grandsons; a brother, Jeffrey Hatfield (Sharon) of Greensboro; sisters, Estelle Gant (Obert) of Burlington and Gloria Jean Hatfield of Charlotte, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, the Rev. John William Hatfield, Donnell Hatfield, Charlie Lewis Hatfield, Delmar Hatfield and James Frank Hatfield; and three sisters, Eula Mae Lee, Carolyn Hatfield and Alease Hayes.
Public viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 1 in the Mary Blackwell Chapel, Blackwell Funeral Home, 1292 Rauhut St., Burlington.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Christian Gethsemane Church, 1605 Burch Bridge Road, Burlington with the Rev. Otis Wiley delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family will arrive at 2 p.m. At other times, the family will receive family and friends at the residence, 414 Cameron St., Burlington.
