GRAHAM - Mr. Kenneth Russell Allen, 82, of Graham, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, Mr. Allen was the husband of the late Nell Archibald Allen and the son of the late Kelly Kenneth Allen and the late Carrie Hackney Allen.
Mr. Allen retired from Collins & Aikman, where he was Human Resources Manager. He was a charter member of the Graham Civitan Club and the Graham Lions Club. He was past president of the Alamance County Personnel Association. Mr. Allen was a member of Burlington Assembly of God.
Mr. Allen is survived by two daughters, Sandra Allen Lewis and her husband, Barry, and Jean Allen Motsinger and her husband, Mike, all of Graham; four grandchildren, Jason Lewis and wife, Joy, Christopher Lewis and wife, Jacki, A.J. Motsinger and wife, Sarah, and Anna Motsinger; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Elijah, Avery, Natalie, Mallory and Lilly, with a seventh great-grandchild on the way, due on Mr. Allen's birthday; two sisters, Nelda Phillippe of Gibsonville and Betty Thomas of McLeansville.
Mr. Allen was also preceded in death by a sister, LaRue Brothers.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be the Rev. Howard Thompson. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
