BURLINGTON -Mr. Larry B. Greeson, 59, of 3843 Greeson Lane, Burlington, went to be with the Lord at his residence on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 1:40 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Judy Pierce Greeson, who survives, and the son of Albert L. Greeson and Jewel Huffines Greeson, both deceased. He worked for more than 25 years as an electrician. Larry was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and sang in the Mt. Zion Group.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two sons, Glenn Greeson of Hickory and Gary Greeson and wife Katherine of Alpharetta, Ga.; two stepsons, Edward Finch and wife Dianna and Joseph Finch, both of Burlington; four grandchildren, Devin, Ethan, Lane and Evelyn; sister, Yvonne Glosson of Burlington; and nephew, Charles Rimmer.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Greeson.
The funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Andy Clapp. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service to lie in state.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
