BURLINGTON - Mrs. Leesa Robertson Ross, 48, of 344 Stoney Creek Church Road, Burlington, died at her residence on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 4 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Phil M. Ross, who survives, and the daughter of the late Larry Edward Robertson Sr. and Evelyn Elmore Robertson, who survives. She was an ABSS teacher's assistant at Andrews Elementary School. Leesa was a member of Bethel Christian Church, the Haw River Craft Club, the Alamance County 4-H Club and Alamance County Home Extension Club. She was a former member of Long's Chapel Christian Church and the Women's Fellowship.
In addition to her husband of the home and mother of Burlington, survivors include a daughter, Julie Diane Ross of the home; son, David Alexander Ross of the home; and brother, Larry E. Robertson Jr. of Burlington.
The funeral service will be conducted at Bethel Christian Church on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Barry Lane and the Rev. R. J. Zupancich. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Playground Fund at Bethel Christian Church, 595 Baynes Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
The family would like to express its gratitude to the Hospice nurses, all community churches, family and friends for their loving care and support extended to Leesa and her family.
