BURLINGTON - Mr. Leo "Buddy" Edward Hodge, 84, of Burlington died Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
Buddy was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. His best times were at the beach and fishing. He will be deeply missed.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Joan Hodge, who survives and the son of Odell Hodge and Mozelle Kidd Hodge, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Sumner Automotive. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include three sons, Randy Hodge and Mark Edward Hodge and wife Jackie, all of Burlington and Kevin Hodge of Graham; daughter, Jennifer Hodge Coble and husband Mike of Graham; six grandchildren, Shawn Workman and wife Kristie, Kim Dawkins and husband Ken, Craig Hodge, Marcus Hodge, Jennie Bailey and Eric Barber; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Charissa Hodge.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013.
