BURLINGTON - Mrs. Louise Carter Flinchum, 77, of 1702 Belmont St., Burlington, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Louise was born January 17, 1935 to the late Robert Wilford Carter Sr. and the late Quincy Moore Carter.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and professing Child of her Lord Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frankie D. Flinchum; daughter, Lorrie Flinchum; son, Kenny Flinchum; three grandchildren, Shannon Isley (Ryan), Brittaney Flinchum, Brian Flinchum; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Isley and Madison Isley; three brothers, Roger Carter (Priscilla), Ernest Carter and Danny Carter (Kris); and a special and caring friend, Donna Halsey.
Louise was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Daniel Flinchum; a sister, Pauline Willard; and four brothers, David Donald Carter, R.W. (Bub) Carter Jr., Eddie Carter and Billy M. (Bill) Carter.
The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, at 2 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Edsel Caviness. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
