HILLSBOROUGH - Mrs. Lula Mae Albright Shepherd, 86, of 211 Barracks Road, Hillsborough, formerly of Caswell Street, Burlington, passed away at 3:06 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at her residence.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Bobby Shepherd and daughter of the late Glenn Sam Albright and Alice Combs Albright. She was retired from Annedeen Hosiery and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Kaye Hicks (Winfred), of Hillsborough, Lynn Gammon of Hollywood, Fla., and Sandy Thomas (Terry) of Graham; three sisters, Rose Mary Chase of Burlington, June Smoake of Oak Island and Chattie Bailey of Hillsborough; three brothers, John Albright of Whitsett, Roy Albright of Burlington and Jasper Albright of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Christy, Bryan, Shawn, Tiffany, Laura and Kimberly, and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. David Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m., prior to the service and at other times at the residence.
