BURLINGTON - Mr. Luther Marshall Cobb, Jr., 84, of Burlington died at his residence on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:27 a.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Clara Isley Cobb and the son of Luther Marshall Cobb, Sr. and Nellie Teague Cobb, both deceased. Marshall was a farmer and a member of Union Ridge Church. He was a member of the Bulah Masonic Lodge #409 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include a brother, Mr. Roy Lee Cobb and wife Martha of Burlington; sister, Shirley C. Willard of Kernersville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Kay Isley Cobb and husband Ronald of Burlington; niece, Teresa Massey; nephews, the Rev. Neil Willard, Scott Willard, Steve Cobb, Ken Cobb and Norman Cobb; great-nieces, Christy Asbill, Caroline Cobb and Rebecca Cobb; great-nephews; Mason Cobb, Dillon Cobb, Lee Cobb, Vince Willard, Zane Willard, Jake Willard, Rowan Willard and Ben Willard; great-great-niece, Caitlin Asbill; and his great-great nephew Marshall Cobb.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. by the Rev. Dan Ficklin with the family receiving friends from 1:30–3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Other times, the family will be at the residence.
Mr. Cobb will be open for public viewing on Monday, June 9, 2013 at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
