BURLINGTON - Mrs. Macie Louise Moore Bare, 73, of 1407 Whitsett Street, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, July 21, 2014, at 6:53 p.m.
A native of Person County, she was the wife of the late Carroll Mack Bare and the daughter of William Andrew Moore and Mandy Cates Moore, both deceased. She retired from Burlington House Finishing and was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church.
Survivors include two sons, Harold "Buck" Moore and wife Vickie of Liberty and Mike Bare of Burlington; six grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Allison Caulder, Kelly Massey, Ashley Bare, April Bare and Katie Bare; two sisters, Blanche Moore and Maggie Edmonds; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Glasgow, Pearl Williams and Maybelle Moore; and four brothers, Haywood, Willie, Elbert and Lonnie Moore.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. by Pastor Gene Cates. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Freedom Fellowship Church, 522 Trollinger Street, Burlington, NC 27215.

Macie was a life long learner here at ACC. Students, Staff, and instructors will miss her.

Buck~ So sorry to hear about your Mom. I really enjoyed working with her at Burlington Industries. She always had a smile on her face when I saw her. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!

What a blessing it was to have Ms. Macie in our lives. She was a wonderful friend to all of of us. Our sister will be truly missed. Ms. Macie has earned her angel wings & the Lord has called her home. Rest in Peace Ms. Macie. We love you.
