GRAHAM - Mrs. Marie Johnson Long, 67, of 5238 East Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road, Graham died suddenly at her residence on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Bobby B. "Buddy" Long, who survives and the daughter of Roy W. Johnson and Avis Braxton Johnson, both deceased. She retired from UNC Physicians and Associates as a Systems Information Specialist. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, Karen Long Martin and husband Kyle of Concord; two grandsons, Chase Martin and Zackary Martin; a brother, W. Worth Johnson and wife Judy of Chapel Hill; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
The funeral service will be conducted at Concord United Methodist Church on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. David King with the family receiving friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord United Methodist Church, 4462 East Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road, Graham, NC 27253 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
