Marshall may be gone but never will he be forgotten. He was my first Super Hero long before Black Panther. As a new high-schooler trying to navigate the waters, I visited the Thompsons in summer of '79-70. I immediately developed a crush on one of Marshall's schoolmates, a basketball player who thought he might take advantage of my naivete. Once Marshall got wind of it, he literally defended my honor and that guy - whatever his name was - was history. Marshall had strength of character, mind and body beyond measure. I love and miss my Super Hero cousin very much.

Sharon, you and Marshall has been very dear to my heart since God connected our lives in 2000. Marshall's humbleness and integrity of sprit inspired growth in me. Out of all the lives that I have experienced in my lifetime I can truly say, He was a true example of a Servant of God. Learning of his passing cut deep to my soul. He will be truly missed. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

Grace and Peace,

I've known Marshall for 56 years, we grew up in the same neighborhood. Last month we connected again after 10 years. We met for lunch and enjoyed laughing and talking about old times. We parted with the promise to stay in touch. To the Thompson family, your loss is my loss, especially to his mother and sister. He will truly be missed.

Many prayers to the Thompson Family. I had not seen Marshall in many years but as I read through the condolences from his friends and co-workers he was the same Marshall today as he was years ago. I don't believe anyone can say bad things about Marshall. He had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. R.I.P. Marshall because we all have to take the same journey. Family hold on to God's unchanging hand.

My prayers are with the entire family in this time of sorrow. The halls of LabCorp will never be the same...Marshall was always there to give a smile & a "Good Morning" or "How are you today?" just as he blew past you with his quick strides up & down those halls. Marshall gave me, like so many others, my start at Labcorp. As managers go, he was in a class by himself; Always appreciative of his employees, considerate and kind and committed to the job at hand. As I move forward in my personal career, Marshall set the bar high for the kind of person I strive to be.
I will miss our discussions about the Steelers and the Lakers. Godspeed to all the family, but smile when you think of him, knowing that he left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with, both professionally and personally.

You were the angel that God was missing from Heaven, now his week is complete. I pray for your family that they remember the man that you are ,and ask God to guide them through this hard time, and to know that you loved them and remember the love they have for you and to know that God loved you best, and I pray that they find peace during this trying time.
