.ATLANTA, Ga. - Nell Crenshaw Braxton, age 88 of Atlanta, Ga. passed away at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla. on Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2012.

Mrs. Braxton was the daughter of Ira B. Crenshaw Sr. and Della Steele of Burlington, N.C, and the wife of the late Lonnie A. Braxton Jr. She is survived by her son Lonnie Braxton III and his wife Stacey of Bradenton, Fla. and daughter Della Anne Dilly of Snellville, Ga., her grandchildren Misty Hood Whitlock (and her husband Kyle), Sabrina Tate (and her husband Ryan), Christopher Wiggins (and his wife Dedra), Lonnie C. Braxton and Holly Braxton.
She was an alumna of Elon College, a member of the Valley Garden Club in Atlanta, and a community volunteer. She was retired after a long career as a librarian at the Reid H. Cofer Library in Tucker, Ga. where she often dressed up as Griselda the Witch or Nutty Nelly the clown for children's events. She was a charter member of the Seekers Class at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 10 a.m.
