MEBANE - Mr. Ozzie Daniel Carver, 79, of 307 W. McKinley Street, Mebane, N.C., died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in UNC Memorial Hospitals following an extended illness.
Mr. Carver was born on April 23, 1933 in Person County, N.C., son of the late Dameron and Addie Palmer Carver. He was a retired employee of Kingsdown after 27 years as an inspector and mender.
Ozzie is survived by his wife, Rosalene Moore Carver; daughter, Cynthia C. King (Michael) of Mebane; brother, Bobby E. Carver (Dorothy Bass) of Rougemont; sister, Edith C. Black (Joe Carver) of Timberlake; granddaughter, Stacy K. Davis (Adam) of Fairbanks, Ak. Great-granddaughter Sophia Davis also survives.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Rowland.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 at the home, 307 W. McKinley St., Mebane.
