ROXBORO - Patricia Lavonne Porterfield, 47, of 304 Moss Creek Drive, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.

Born in Alamance County, Miss Porterfield was the daughter of Dwight Lee and Amber Wright Porterfield, who survive.
Miss Porterfield worked at Person Industries and loved to attend their special functions. She also won numerous medals at the Special Olympics and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Miss Porterfield loved music and would often sing at weddings and other functions.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her uncle, Don Wheeler Jr.; aunt, Dorothy Poole; brother-in-law, Terry Daniels; niece, Destiny Daniels; cousins, Lauren King, Vance and Faye Porterfield, Buddy and Claira Porterfield, Buddy and Yvonne Crabtree and Patsy Blalock and numerous other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Porterfield; sister, Tammy Daniels; and grandparents, Donald "PawPaw" Wheeler Sr., Abby Wheeler and Alma Porterfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Antioch Baptist Church by Dr. M. David Chambers. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Don Wheeler, Joe Shaw, Jeremy Bowers, Josh Bowers and David Rogerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucious Lunsford, A.J. Stancil and Bill Champion.
