SNOW CAMP - Paul C. Dickey, 85, of 6735 N.C. 49 South, died at his residence on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 4:30 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Faye Smith Dickey and the son of the late Joe Wesley Dickey and the late Geneva Terrell Dickey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of Bible Baptist Church and retired from General Electric after 18 years and as a custodian of Bethel Baptist Church after 21 years of service.
In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by one son, Kenny Dickey and his wife, Annette, of Burlington; four grandchildren, Ginger Murphy and her husband Wendell, Kevin Dickey, Renee Dickey Franklin and Kristie Whitehead and her husband Rob; and nine great-grandchildren, Ashley Murphy, Chris Murphy, Macy Dickey, Morgan Dickey, Wesley Dickey, Riley Dickey, Kristen Hunter, Kaleb Franklin and Tyler Whitehead.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Janice Smith and Vickey Heaton; one great-granddaughter, Logen Franklin; two stepsons, Alton Duckworth and Eddie Duckworth; two sisters, Bertie Moore and Christine Terrell; and six brothers, Tommy, Ernest, Ollie, Ed, Brodie and Hurley Dickey.
The funeral service will be conducted at Bible Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. by the Revs. David Jackson, Mark Aheron and Buddy Smith. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery immediately after the funeral service. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times, they will be at the residence.
