BURLINGTON - Mrs. Peggy Dixon Livingston, 84, of Twin Lakes Retirement Community, Burlington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at 2:03 a.m.

A native of Alamance County, she was married to the late Joseph Earl Livingston and was the daughter of Joe Hurley Dixon and Mabel Kirkpatrick Dixon, both deceased. Peggy retired as manager of Trails End Apartments and was a member of Ireland Street Chapel. She was a woman filled with amazing grace and love.
Survivors include daughters, Joy Livingston Brewer and husband John and Jayne Livingston Clark and husband Harold, both of Burlington; son, James Earl Livingston and wife Terri of Mebane; grandchildren, Livi Brewer Elliott and husband Jeremy, Simon Livingston Clark and wife Brittany, Seth Dixon Clark and Jamie Lynn Livingston; great-grandchildren, Hudson Brewer Elliott and Addison Britleigh Clark; and brothers, Charles Dixon and Hurley Dixon.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Dixon, Kirk Dixon and Jack Dixon; and two sisters, Ruth Huey and her twin sister, Jean King.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. by Pastor J. Eddie Schwartz, with the family receiving friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
