ARLINGTON, Va. -Rebecca B. Ezzell passed away on June 25, 2013 at home with her husband and daughters, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Becky was born in Burlington, N.C. in 1950, the daughter of Clingman Haley and Celia Barrett Burch. Becky attended Louisburg College in North Carolina and received her AD in 1970. She was married in 1970 to William F. Ezzell and they lived in Greensboro, N.C. until 1986. While living in Greensboro, she worked for a number of years as an accountant for her brother's homebuilding business and for a not-for-profit organization. Upon moving to Arlington, she devoted her time to raising her two daughters and volunteer work in the local community including the Williamsburg Women's Club and various Parent Teacher Associations. She was first diagnosed with cancer in 1996 and from then until her death she devoted substantial time to mentor and support other women dealing with cancer.
Becky is survived by her husband of 43 years, William F. Ezzell; daughters, Julie L. Ross and Jennifer F. Ezzell; two grandchildren, Benjamin M. Ross and Abigail M. Ross; her mother, Celia B. Burch; two brothers Haley Burch and Keith Burch; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A receiption will follow.
