HAW RIVER - Mr. Richard Grant, 79, of 3458 Grant Road, died at his residence Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 12:57 p.m.
A native of Durham County, he was the husband of the late Nancy Simmons Grant and the son of Paul Ferettino and Violet Eubanks Ferettino, both deceased. He was a brick and stone mason and a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Earp of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Gary Grant of Haw River and John Ferettino and wife Dawn of Graham; two granddaughters, Lauren Stainback and Maggie Ferettino; and two nephews, Michael Sandifer and wife Gelene and Stephen Sandifer and wife Krystal.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014. A graveside service will follow at Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jim Wall and the Rev. Travis Russell. At other times they will be at the residence.
Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham is in charge of arrangements.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful man and I know he will be sorely missed. We lost our mother "Mrs. Horner", on the 24th. I'm sure she was glad to see your dad when he arrived. Praying for you all!!!
