PLEASANT GARDEN - Mrs. Roberta Knott Bartelt, 73, of Providence Farm Drive, Pleasant Garden, died at her residence on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 4:20 a.m.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Jim Bartelt, who survives, and the daughter of Thomas H. Knott and Anna Kunz Knott, both deceased. She was a license practical nurse and company secretary for Bartelt Service Company. She loved wildlife and was a North Carolina licensed animal rehabilitator since 1984. Roberta was a member of Julian United Methodist Church and helped many teens with their walk through life.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include five nephews, Wayne Durham and wife Carmen, Glenn Durham and wife Lori, Matt King and wife Mary, Bradley King and wife Kathy, Stephen King; and a niece, Debbie Montgomery-Celender and husband Sol.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Knott King and Margaret Knott Durham.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Nancy Vaughn, with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence.
