BURLINGTON - Mrs. Savannah Moore Garrett, 75, of 1403 Durham St., gently passed away in her sleep early Monday morning, Oct. 27, 2014, at her residence.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Edgar G. Moore and Sally Vanhook Moore, both deceased, and the wife of Willard O. Garrett.
In addition to her husband of the home she is survived by two daughters, Debra G. Philson (Johnnie) and Felicia G. Nasrawin, both of Burlington; three sons, Gregory Garrett and Tommy Garrett, both of Burlington, and Willard G. Garrett (Sakuna) of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Obelia Greer of Burlington; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mrs. Susan Moore of Burlington; brother-in-law, Mr. Raphalp Garrett of Connecticut; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Alamance Funeral Service.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Union Chapel UCC. Interment will follow in Warren's Chapel Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral service at the church, and at all other times at the home.
Alamance Funeral Service has the honor of serving the family.
