STEM, N.C. - Mrs. Sharon Lowry Wagner, 65, of 1519 Northridge Drive, was called home as a special angel to the Lord above. She died at Duke Regional Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. following a brief illness.

A native of Fairlawn, N.J., she was the wife of Albert Gene Wagner, who survives, and the daughter of William Ralph Lowry and Eleanor Mansmon Lowry, both deceased. She was co-owner of Wagner's Upholstery Shop, a beekeeper and a former beautician.
Sharon and her husband, Gene, loved to travel and have experienced the world together as international travelers. Sharon was an Amateur Radio Operator Extra Class, whose call sign was KJ4-CQP. She enjoyed volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, cooking and baking.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter who she loved dearly, Carolyn Walker Edwards, of Burlington; two grandsons, whom she adored and that meant the world to her, Derek Wayne Edwards and Blake Austin Edwards; and three wonderful sisters-in-law, Rose, Joan and Mary.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the home of a sister-in-law, Rose Wilkinson, 1125 Cooks Mill Road, Mebane, N.C.
